"Informal support systems operate quite extensively within the Park, with people sharing technical tips and tricks. I think it would be very difficult to find an alternate location that would satisfy our needs."

Concentrix chose to establish its delivery centre on the Federation University Australia campus due to the benefits of blending the worlds of ‘learning and earning’ for both the Federation University Australia students and our clients. By having students working with us around their university studies, they are able to build skills and a level of working experience so that when they graduate they are highly employable and our clients benefit from a highly motivated and high quality workforce from both the University and the local Ballarat community.
Having only opened in 2014, we are already delivering digital and Omnichannel customer engagement services to multiple global and local icon clients, with expansion plans in place for the coming year to cater for future clients being attracted to the Concentrix and Federation University Australia proposition. We are very proud of our achievements with Federation University Australia so far and we see a great future for our ‘learning & earning’ model into the future.
Peter Monk, Concentrix General Manager Australia and New Zealand
"The relationship with Federation University Australia has been long standing, mutually beneficial and a one of which IBM is very proud.
IBM benefits from a quality workforce which includes undergraduate and post-graduate students gaining valuable work experience, and a talent pipeline of professionals completing programs through the Faculty of Science & Technology and Federation Business School. IBM provides scholarships and work experience to all students enrolled in the Bachelor of IT (Professional Practice), a program noted by the Australian Computer Society as Best of Breed, and is also a proud sponsor of the P-TECH (Pathways in Technology) program run at Federation College.
IBM currently employs well over 400 people at the Ballarat Technology Park and we expect our Client Innovation Centre to continue to expand as we maintain our commitment to the Ballarat region by aligning our strategy, skills requirements and employee growth in IT consulting services, application development and technical support areas.
Steve Davies, Client Innovation Centre Leader, IBM Ballarat"
