Inviting Expansion In - Biomedical and related Technologies
The Technology Park's are very committed to business diversification and the growth of biomedical technologies. A strong focus of the proposed Stage 2 Park expansion will centre on investment attraction of innovative enterprises engaged with medical devices, diagnostics and eHealth.
The opportunity exists for biomedical technology enterprises to be directly involved in the Biomedical Sciences program at the University of Ballarat including curriculum development, lecturing and research as well as the scope to offer research opportunities to postgraduate students.
Biomedical Science was introduced at the University in 2008. Enrolments have shown strong growth each year and there are currently approximately 50 students in first year. The program has existing research and teaching strengths in genetics, cell biology, pharmacology and laboratory medicine.
